Pursuant to Section 125 of the DMW Department Circular No. 1, series of 2023, the registration and documentation of returning OFWs will be managed by MWOs, following the guidelines outlined in POEA Memorandum Circular No. 24, series of 2021.

MWO Singapore will verify employment contracts of OFWs for Balik-Manggagawa documentation in the following ccases:

1. OFWs not previously registered with the Department;
2. OFWs who have changed their employers while abroad;
3. OFWs who have changed job sites (cross-country);
4. OFW who have changed positions.

Contact verification is not required for each contract renewal. It is only necessary when one of the above conditions apply. If you are renewing your contract with the same employer and if your last DMW record already has the updated employment details, you can request for an OEC exemption.

For fixed term contracts that have expired, you will need to execute a new contract and attach the new and valid contract with the verified contract and present both at immigration when required. For indefinite (no expiry contracts), you can present your identification card/work permit bearing the same employment details on your OEC.
